Interior Health Authority is a Canadian regional health agency based in Kelowna, British Columbia. It is funded by the British Columbia Ministry of Health.
As a result of the agency's mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy, Interior Health dismissed 895 staff in 2021 and 80 in 2022 for "non-compliance."[1]
On October 13, 2023, Terri Perepolkin and Jedediah Ferguson filed a notice of civil claim on behalf of United Health Care Workers of BC in the Supreme Court of British Columbia against provincial health officer Bonnie Henry for her role in the province's ongoing COVID-19 vaccine mandate. The suit seeks to achieve class action status under the Class Proceedings Act.[2]
