Legal Aid BC, formerly the Legal Services Society (LSS), is a Canadian non-profit organization based in Vancouver, British Columbia. It is a provincial Crown corporation owned by the Government of British Columbia.[1]
The organization was founded in 1979 through the Legal Services Society Act.[1:1]
Following the declaration of the COVID-19 pandemic, the LSS changed its name to Legal Aid BC.[2]
