A pre-print study published on June 12, 2023 found that out of 48,344 employees of Cleveland Clinic, those considered not 'up-to-date' had a lower risk of developing COVID-19 than their 'up-to-date' colleagues. At the time of the study, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) defined 'up-to-date' as having "received at least one dose of a COVID-19 bivalent vaccine."[1][2]
